The perfect Afternoon Tea, with a golden infusion and light flavour that complements scones, shortcake or sweet pastry. This is a special Tea, and when brewed properly, ideally using spring or mineral water, a delight to the eye and the taste buds.
The leaf is medium dark brown with some greenish tones. Broken leaf. Infused leaf is medium brown and khaki, red and dark greens. The liquor is golden orange. This may be a medium bodied tea but it has an assertive nose of honey, mango, molasses, cashews, hay and dried grass. It is matched by similar flavours that seem to burst out in the mouth. Then the tea taste tapers off and reveals medium tannins. This characterful tea is heartening and impressive and will appeal to connoisseurs and those seeking an extraordinary tea.

Every person I have shared a pot of this tea with has immediately asked me what tea it is. There really is an exciting swirling pot full of flavours that emerge from this tea, and like a fine wine, it does change over the duration of the pot. I received this tea as a gift from someone and it is one of the greatest I have ever received. I could never go back to ordinary tea after meeting the Prince of Kandy.
