After waiting in anticipation since July this year for the chill winds that blow through the Uva Valley which helps produce these unique teas, in August the Dilmah Uva Seasonal Flush Pekoe 2011 became a reality.
Handpicked on the 9th of August 2011 in the morning and manufactured on the next day, this is a superlative tea – supple, with brightness and seasonal quality. Truly sensational!
This is a curly, high grown Pekoe with dark brown leaf appearance and the raw, grassy aroma of fresh, Uva seasonal teas. Nearly 3 weeks of perfect weather accompanied by the seasonal winds, have concentrated flavour in the leaf with the expression of seasonal character beautifully presented in a bright golden liquor. The infused leaf tends khaki with flecks of jade. A fresh, bright tea offering a complex of citrus, with hints of eucalyptus, mint and an energetic personality. A spectacular, handmade seasonal Uva.
